How much does it cost for Psychotherapy?

For our own knowledge the starting rates for each province is below (as of Jan 27, 2023)

BC student: $100, BC adult: $130+
Alberta student: $100, Alberta adult: $130+
Ontario student: $100, Ontario adult: $130+
Quebec student $130, Quebec adult: $160+
Depending on the professional selected, these rates may be higher. (Prices are based on various variables. Some practitioners may have higher fees because of their immense experience in the field)
Psy has a partnership with studentcare so the student rate is slightly lower. Plus they can claim the amount with insurance. Students can show any kind of document proving that they are currently registered in school.
We advise all insurance questions should be directed to the individuals insurance company - they should ask their insurance company what is their coverage for Psychotherapy serves. Studentcare members can go to studentcare.ca, enter student association and select the contact us section. If they are unsure if they are a studentcare member we can book as an adult and it can be changed later - even at the appointment.
When callers ask if Studentcare covers individuals in CEGEP and college/Student programs? Some Colleges and CEGEPS are covered by Studentcare (Ex. In Quebec, Collège d’etudes Ostéopathiques, Conversation de Musique et d’art dramatique). Check with insurance!
Psyvitaliti or Psymontreal does not offer direct billing. Therefore client will have to pay the full amount at the end of their session (only get charged at the end of a session) and then submit the bill to their insurance company to get reimburrsed.
At this time, we only accept Visa & Mastercard (no AMEX) to secure an appointment. Etransfer can be accepted at the end of appointments BUT it has to be discussed with therapist before. Side note - anyones credit card can be provided for the session as it does not need to match patients name
You can make modifications up to 24h before your scheduled appointment, with no charge. If appointment is missed the client has to pay for the full session.
There is no CSST or IVAC..etc available (Free services in montreal that people pay a subscription for).
Gov / Government funded ? This is a private clinic and not government funded, but StudentCare insurance is partnered with us and will reimburse you according to your coverage.
“Statut de réfugié” - Simply put, we do not offer any preferential rates or services for refugees (i.e. people with refugee status).
Some therapist will have taxes on top of the stated price but usually it will state if we need to say 'plus taxes'
If caller is having a hard time providing a credit card please transfer to Admin. But if caller does not have a credit card then appointment cannot be booked because we need a credit card to secure spot
